Overview
If you need to indicate whether GST is paid on a line item level for items and shipments inbound to you, please follow the steps below:
-
Ensure a Shipper GST Tax Number - Make sure that a Shipper GST Tax number has been added for the destination country. For more information, refer to the Registration and Tax Number Settings.
-
Use Unique SKUs - Ensure that your line items have unique SKUs so that rules can be applied effectively.
-
Configure GST Paid Indicator - Set up a rule to determine when the GST paid indicator should be marked as False. If not configured, GST Paid will default to True for all line items.
How it works
To indicate GST paid per line item for DHL Express shipments, you can utilize rules.
- Navigate to Settings > Rules and create a rule to set GST Paid per item as False.
- For example, if any items over GBP 200 are being sent to Singapore, the rule should be configured as follows:
- Condition 1: Line Item Value is Greater than 200
- Condition 2: Currency is GBP
- Condition 3: Country is SG
- Finally, set the Action: Set GST paid per item as False.
