BigCommerce: Configure order data

Configure the additional BigCommerce data behaviour during setup. You can update these choices later from Settings > Integrations > BigCommerce.

Import Authority to Leave

To import Authority to Leave from BigCommerce:

  • Name the billing form field Delivery Option.
  • Set its value to include either authority to leave or signature required.

Choose product names for new imports

By default, item descriptions use the product name saved on the BigCommerce order line. Enable Use BigCommerce catalog product names to use the current name from the BigCommerce catalogue instead. This setting uses BigCommerce's catalogue, rather than DHL Express Commerce 's Product Catalogue.

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations > BigCommerce.
  2. Enable Use BigCommerce catalog product names.
  3. Select Save, then reopen the settings and confirm the option remains enabled.
  4. Import a new eligible order and compare its item description with the current BigCommerce product name.

DHL Express Commerce matches the catalogue product by its BigCommerce product ID and keeps the order's variant SKU and option fields. If the catalogue product is unavailable, the order-line name is used. This option is off by default and does not rename items on existing DHL Express Commerce orders.

If a new item still uses the order-line name, check that its BigCommerce product still exists and that the option was saved before import.

Import product options

DHL Express Commerce imports BigCommerce product options with these display names:

  • Size
  • HS Code
  • Color or Colour

To also import bin and warehouse values, configure BigCommerce product locations.

Enable pickup orders

  1. Open the BigCommerce integration settings in DHL Express Commerce.
  2. Enable Pickup in Store.
  3. Click Save.

When a pickup shipment is printed, DHL Express Commerce writes it back to BigCommerce as Awaiting Pickup.
