An updated experience is rolling out
- We're moving to an updated experience that retains the familiar shipping workflows you use today while delivering faster, more responsive performance.
- You don't need to take any action, as we'll move your profile as part of the rollout.
- If you'd like to switch sooner, log in to next.dhlexpresscommerce, navigate to Settings > Interface, select UI 2.5 (recommended) from the New UI version dropdown, and click Save.
- Alongside improved performance, the updated interface introduces several practical enhancements designed to make day-to-day shipping activities easier and more efficient.
What's new?
Personalise your workspace
- Choose between Light Mode and Dark Mode, and adjust your zoom settings from the user menu in the top-right corner.
- Hide menu items you don't use, choose the default saved view that opens in the Orders grid, and manage the optional Enter-to-print shortcut from the Order details screen in Settings > Interface.
- Display up to 500 orders per page using the page size control at the bottom of the Orders grid.
Manage orders more efficiently
- Review key information, including carriers and rates, higher up on the Order details page, reducing the need to scroll.
- Collapse the Items and Packages sections when you don't need them.
- See the order ID directly in your browser tab when working across multiple orders.
- When an address is invalid, select Correct address from the Order details page to review suggested matches, search for an address, and apply a correction.
Additional improvements
- Open Quotes from the main navigation to check rates before creating an order.
- Create sample orders from the Orders grid using Import orders > Load test orders, allowing you to test or demonstrate order and printing workflows without using live customer orders.
- Reorder rules by dragging them into position or by using keyboard controls in Settings > Rules.
- Pages now adapt more effectively across different screen sizes and resolutions.
What's changed?
Some familiar controls have moved to make them easier to find and manage.
Orders grid column management
Column order is now managed through the column options menu rather than by dragging columns directly within the Orders grid.
Important: Column selections from UI 2.0 are not migrated automatically. You'll need to configure your preferred columns again after moving to UI 2.5.
Orders grid layout settings
The option to switch between Compact and Expanded Orders grid layouts has moved to Settings > Interface.
- Compact displays each order on a single line.
- Expanded displays additional information, such as items, SKUs and bin locations, across multiple lines.
