Rules to automatically assign additional services

Overview

• It's now possible to create rules that automatically apply DHL Express services (e.g., GoGreen, Adult Signature) when specific conditions are met, such as SKU, Shipping Description, Shipping Method, etc.
• Assigning a pre-defined tag to an order will automatically apply services that may have been sold to the buyer at the checkout page.
• For example, if a GoGreen delivery option was selected, this can be identified via the rules function and the service applied automatically.

Pre-defined Tags

The pre-defined tags are listed below, along with the relevant service that will be applied:

• GreenService = GoGreen Plus Service
• SaturdayDelivery = Saturday Delivery
• SignatureRequired = Direct Signature
• AdultSignature = Adult Signature
• NeutralDescription = Neutral Description
• VerifiedDelivery = Verified Delivery

Setting up Tags

1. Go to Settings > Tags.
2. Click on Add new.
3. Enter each pre-defined tag listed above one by one and click Add after each entry.

Using a Rule to Set the Pre-defined Tags

1. In DHL Express Commerce, go to Settings > Rules.
2. Click Add a new rule.
3. Set your Condition (e.g., Shipping Description).
4. Add the Shipping Description from your e-commerce checkout that you wish to build a rule for.
5. Set Action to Assign Tags.
6. Set the Value to one of the pre-defined tags above.
7. Click Save.
