Sidekick Chrome Extension

Overview

  • Access DHL Express Commerce order information and functionality in a Chrome side panel, including tracking status, the ability to print labels, look up rates and more. Just press the 'Open in DHL Express Commerce Sidekick' button.
  • Available for Cin7 Omni, Cin7 Core, Shopify, WooCommerce, NetSuite and Magento2.

Use cases

  • Bring up the DHL Express Commerce Sidekick panel from other applications (like Shopify and Cin7 Omni), meaning you never have to toggle screens to go looking for a tracking number again.
  • Quickly access order information without exiting out of your platforms.
  • Print labels, open orders in DHL Express Commerce and copy the tracking number directly from the side panel.
  • Look up rates for addresses and packages.

How to get started

  1. Install the extension to your Chrome browser.
  2. Right-click on the extension icon and go to Options, or open the extension and click the Settings cog. This will take you to the settings page for the extension.
  3. You will need to enter your DHL Express Commerce API Key and Subscription Key. There is a link in the settings page that will lead you to the DHL Express Commerce API settings page. Copy these details across and save them in the extension settings page.
  4. Enable the functionality for the platforms you use. For example, if you use Shopify to manage orders, toggle the Shopify setting. When you click Save, the extension will prompt you to allow it to access your data from shopify.com. Click Allow to ensure the extension works correctly.
  5. You're now setup and ready to use the extension.

When you go to Shopify, and go to the order details page for a specific order, you should now see an Open in DHL Express Commerce Sidekick button. Clicking this will reveal information about the order in Sidekick in the side panel of your browser. From this side panel, you can print the order label, open the order in DHL Express Commerce and copy the tracking number.

Look up rates

You can use the DHL Express Commerce Sidekick to look up rates for addresses and packages you specify.

Supported web browsers

You can use DHL Express Commerce Chrome extensions in either Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. To install the extensions in Microsoft Edge, simply head to the Chrome Web Store (instead of the Edge Add-ons website).
