Overview
The Windsor Framework provides regulatory guidance on how parcels will move from Great Britain (GB) to Northern Ireland (NI). The government is asking businesses to be prepared for these requirements starting 1st May 2025.
All non-document shipments being sent to NI will require additional data. Please review the following points to ensure you can provide this information:
Provide UKIMS Number
You will be able to auto-populate your UKIMS number within Settings > Options > Shipper Tax Settings. Further details can be found in the Registration and Tax Number Settings article.
Sending Documents shipments
If you still need to send a document shipment from Great Britain (GB) to Northern Ireland (NI), you can achieve this by adding a 'Document' tag to the shipment.
Setting up tags
Add the Tags column top the Order Grid
Before getting started, you will need to enable the tags column on the orders grid.
- On the new orders tab, click the settings cog in the top right
- Tick "Tags" > Apply
Your tags will now display in the order grid on the right hand side.
Add the Document Tag to the Tag List
Click on Settings > Tags
On this page you will be able to add, delete and edit tags that are saved in your account.
Assign Tags Manually
You can assign tags to orders as and when you need them.
- In the orders grid, click the plus in the tags column. From here you can add one (or multiple tags) and then click apply.
- You can bulk assign tags from the orders grid by selecting all the orders you want to update, selecting "Add or Remove Tags" from the action menu, and then entering (or removing) the tags you'd like to apply.
- You can also apply tags within individual orders. When you open the order, in the top right you will see a section for tags where you can add or remove any tags.
Assign Tags Automatically
You can easily automate the addition of tags with our rules engine. Just use the new rule action called "Assign Tags." For more information on setting up rules, please refer to our support guide.
Tags can also be used to automatically add extra services to your orders, such as Go Green Plus. For more details, check out our guide here.
