Overview
- The Product Catalogue lets you store all relevant details about your products within DHL Express Commerce, including SKU, HS code and bin location. You can then access these details to populate missing values during order import.
- Maintaining a product catalogue in DHL Express Commerce, with all relevant fields, gives you flexibility and makes it easier to maintain and transfer information to DHL.
Common use cases for the Product Catalogue
- Wanting to pick/pack from DEC but need to specify where the items are stored? Use the product catalogue to specify the location of each item. This will be printed on the packing slips and displayed in the UI.
- Missing item dimensions when creating packages? Specify the dimensions of each product and configure your packages to be based on these item dimensions (link to set up packages guide for more info)
- Shipping internationally and missing crucial customs details like HS codes and COO? Configure these in the product catalogue and we'll ensure they're submitted to the courier for you.
- Is the item name on your storefront causing hold ups at customs and you want to overwrite it with something more customs friendly? Set the customs description for your items using the PC and we'll update this for you when you ship your orders.
- Dont have item weights loaded up in your platform? Set them in DEC so we can ensure your quotes are correct and your couriers are happy.
